Bill The Bat's Snow Day

“Good morning, good morning,”
said Bill the bat.

“It is a beautiful day,
is it not,” said the cat?

You could tell by the look
that appeared on Bill’s face,
that he thought Cal’s comment
was a bit out of place.

“It is cold,” said the bat,
“and no sun to be found.
Much sooner than later,
we’ll have snow on the ground.

Winter is coming and
it is coming too fast.
I need a hat and gloves
and this scarf may not last.

I am really not fond
of the ice and the snow.
I wish summer would stay
and winter would go.”
